SF44 (Seoul-Fluor44) is used to visualize and quantify cellular lipid droplet (LD) in various cells, tissues, and model organisms (absorption/emission maxima 445/611 nm).
SF44 is fluorogenic only at LDs, therefore it does not require any washing or fixation steps.
SF44 is ideal for real-time LD monitoring in live cells. The fluorescence of SF44 is quenched in aqueous medium,
but is thrnde on under the hydrophobic environment of lipid droplets.
